The 2009 Rotary Junior Golfer of the Year
competition was held on 27th July with two separate events. The first event was for Primary school pupils
and the second more serious event was for Secondary age pupils. In the Primary event the overall winner was
Elliot Little who managed to get round nine holes with 45 strokes. Second was
Scott Morrison, third Elliot Johnstone. In the Secondary Comp the Scratch winner was
Andrew Paisley, Handicap winner Daniel Johnstone, second was Jamie Gormley
and third was Ross Rae. Andrew and Daniel now go forward to the
District Final at Grangemouth Golf Club on the 6th August. Good luck to both boys. Langholm Rotary Club has been serving the town
